Hello friends and welcome once again to our website!
It has been a few years since I have written anything by means of introduction, so I will attempt to briefly make up for that now. I am happy to report that nothing has changed in our beliefs or practice since the previous introductory letter in 2007. By the grace of God we intend on never changing these things because they are essential core beliefs that make us what we are.
There have been some sad changes in our church over the last few years, however. We have lost some of our Brothers and Sisters in the Lord to physical death. We rejoice for their union with the Lord, but we nevertheless mourn for their families and miss them dearly. For those of you who have been visitors to this website over time, you have been aware of some of these as they occurred. We thank you for your prayers.
We have lost a few because of work relocations and although we still have contact with them, we miss them all the same, and are glad that they are being used of the Lord where they are.
There have been only a very few who have left to find another local ministry and our prayer is that they will be in the will of God, and that they will always feel welcome to return if God permits. Our doors are always open to them and I trust their discernment in these matters.
Even with our losses, we have steadily gained some new brothers and sisters in Christ, and we rejoice that our ministry for the Lord here is growing and active. Since 2007, we have been blessed with as many or more services outside of our building as we have inside our building, and rightly so. Since the beginning we went door to door witnessing or Street preaching every Saturday, but since then God has opened up a door for a weekly local Jail ministry, two nursing homes a week, and also a Spanish ministry. We are thrilled to have these opportunities to serve our Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ.
As those of you who have visited over the years can see, our website is in the process of undergoing some dramatic improvements. We are looking to be a unique blessing and resource for Bible believers as well as a representation of the local ministry here at King James Bible Baptist Church. Very soon we will be making available sermon outlines and study notes along with video and audio of our services, a daily devotional in the scriptures, documentaries and testimonies on various subjects, music, etc. And as always, everything will be completely free of charge.
We do not want to become too large. We are satisfied with what God is doing with us. We are happily looking forward to the Judgment Seat of Christ where the bread that we are casting upon the waters now will be found unto the praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ. We relish the opportunity to be an example of what God can do with little when it is dedicated to Him. As of this writing, we still take up only one offering per week, I still work a full time regular job, and I am still happier than I ever thought possible. Praise the Lord.
